Christchurch Fish

Christchurch Fish is a co-operative of small inshore fishing boats based in Mudeford, Dorset. Since mid 2008 we have driven our Friday and Saturday catches to London and sold direct to the public on Saturdays and Sundays at London Farmers Markets in S.Kensington and Blackheath.

We use ecologically friendly fishing methods and take great care of our catch to ensure it reaches our customers in tip-top condition.

Our catch reflects the seasonality of our local fishery and we do not target spawning fish in poor condition. Details of what we are catching are updated regularly on this website. If you join our weekly email list we will send you the full list of what we will be selling at the farmers markets that week. In addition to our own catches we bring up rock oysters, clams and cockles year-round from our friends at Dorset Oysters Ltd, who also depurate the native oysters that we catch in the permitted season ( November-February).

 We have recently increased our runs to the capital and now directly supply two new London fishmongers who really care about the provenance and quality of the seafood they sell, the North Road Restaurant in Clerkenwell which opened in November 2010, and live shellfish to a number of Chinatown's top seafood restaurants
